Just a hundred meters from the administration block past upper hill lies Kesses campus which was started last year. The building structures were meant for the school of biological sciences but now it has been converted to be a branch for school of education.
Students from the school of education are forced to
walk all the way from their school to the so called ‘Kesses campus’. “I am
really having difficulties in attending classes at Kesses campus, it is far and
there are no pathways”, Ayub said. Ayub is a third year student in the school
of education and suffers from limb paralysis. He can’t walk thus has to look
for a person to push him on a wheelchair all the way especially when there is a class
immediately after another class in their school. Ayub usually finds that the other immediate
class at ‘Kesses campus’ is halfway and missing space by the time he arrives.
The students really encounter difficulties in
keeping time as the place is far from their residence. They have to wake up
early in the morning whenever they have a class there. Concentration level in
class is also reduced as the students do get tired. Nobody knows exactly when
the building structures shall be completed so that the real owners could occupy
the place.
It is a pity to education students who have to walk all the way to that building near the main gate, most of them start an early preparation or walk all the way to for 30 minutes, panic is what they undergo through, I wonder if they really understand what they are taught up there
